the four – fourteen window

Aimee, a student in the Children At Risk School, and a child at Metro Ministry ...thanks Pablo for the photo (his website is in the sidebar on the right)..

Why have I lived away from my family for the past couple years? Why am I moving home now? What am I doing with my life? If you have not yet read my newsletter, you are likely to be asking these questions. If you have read it, and you are still asking these questions, here’s a little more insight into what motivates me.

When are people most responsive to “the gospel”? Studies say that 85% of make the choice to follow God between the ages of 4 and 14. This phenomenon is called the “4 – 14 window”. Maybe this is why Jesus says ,

“Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Mark 10:15

My life for the past couple years has been dedicated to serving God. He loves children. He wants relationship with them. I want to help make that happen. So I’ve been living in California, Mexico, and now Costa Rica, working with ministries towards that goal. Next month I’m going home, and I plan on continuing to help children to know God, in whatever way I can.

I’m excited, but I’m also nervous. Keep me in your prayers, as I am preparing for my return to life in the States and as I seek out the details of my next steps.

Love this, Robbie—this is why our family have dedicated our lives to kids too… Keep on following Jesus!
